Route Summary

  1. Saturday, October 10, 2009 – bike on the Confederation Trail from Tignish to Wellington (~90 km)
  2. Sunday, October 11, 2009 – bike from Wellington to Mount Stewart (~114 km)
  3. Monday, October 12, 2009 – bike from Mount Stewart to Elmira (~70 km)

Detailed Schedule

Saturday, October 10, 2009
6:30am Arrive at Smitty’s parking lot, load luggage and bikes, catch bus for starting point at Tignish
7:00am Bus leaves Smitty’s promptly for Summerside pick up
7:50am People/bikes being picked up in Summerside meet
7:50-8:00am Transportation arrives in Summerside
8:15am Bus leaves Summerside promptly – heading to Tignish
Morning snack on bus
9:15am Arrive in Tignish at the Confederation Trails, unload bikes
10:00am Start biking on the Confederation Trails in Tignish
1:00-2:00pm Lunch in Oleary
3:30-4:00pm Afternoon snack in Ellerslie
5:00-5:30pm Arrive in Wellington
5:30pm Bus leaves from Wellington to Summerside (store bikes in Wellington)
6:00pm Arrive in Summerside at hotel
7:00pm Supper and entertainment

7:00-7:45am Breakfast
8:00am Depart Summerside by bus to Wellington
8:30am Start biking from Wellington
10:00-10:30am Morning snack in Kensington
12:30-1:30pm Lunch in Hunter River
3:30-4:00pm Afternoon snack in Brackley Community Cenre
6:00pm Arrive in Mount Stewart & bus to Charlottetown for accommodations (store bikes in Mount Stewart)
6:30pm Arrive in Charlottetown at hotel
7:30pm Supper Banquet and entertainment
Monday, October 12th, 2009 – Thanksgiving Day
7:00-7:45am Hearty Thanksgiving Breakfast at hotel
8:00am Bus leaves Charlottetown for Mount Stewart
8:30am Start biking in Mount Stewart
11:00-11:30am Morning snack in St.Peters
12:30-1:30pm Bagged lunch in New Zealand
2:30pm Finish biking in Elmira, load up bikes in trailer
3:00pm Bus back to Charlottetown and then Summerside

    I have a client wishing to participate in this event but he is wondering if he can rent a bike locally or needs to bring his own. Can you please advise soonest?
